City Manager

The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to implement the policies approved by the City Council, and provides administrative leadership, coordination, and development of City departments.
 
In a Council/Manager form of government, the City Council sets policy and the City Manager is charged with the day-to-day administration of the City government. City Manager Jeff Swanson was appointed in 2025. 
 
The City contracts with Inslee, Best, Doezie and Ryder PS for city attorney services.
