Community

The city works in partnership with residents to set forth a collective vision about how the community perceives itself. Residents offer their distinct input about the kind of place they want it to become. They have the opportunity for articulating what needs to be preserved and enhanced and, conversely, what the community wishes to avoid. Through these processes they drafted a document known as their Comprehensive Plan. It functions as a guide for instituting land use regulations and making public decisions concerning individual development proposals.
