This project was funded in part with proceeds from the Proposition No. 1 Parks Levy approved by King County voters in August 2019 under an Agreement with King County Parks and Recreation.

The goal of these playground improvements is to replace older outdated structures and incorporate an Accessible Design that offers a range of play experiences for children of varying abilities.

Status Updates

4/25/2022 - 5/20/2022 - Playground area and NE 12th parking lot closed for demolition and construction.

5/9/2022 - Installation of new equipment begins.

6/1/2022 - The playground re-opening is DELAYED due to supply chain issues. Time and date of re-opening to be determined.

6/8/2022 - The NE 12th St parking lot re-opens

6/9/2022 - Medina Park playground area re-opens
